Playing sports builds confidence, team culture and creates a very energetic youth. By playing sports you do learn to manage and balance your time more effectively. Leadership is important irrespective of your profession. It is important to make a big difference and put forward the thoughts of the people.

 

Society must be strong and committed. Western societies are adventurous. There, the top priority is sports. A lot of institutions have contributed to create a sports culture habit as against the current Bangalore pub culture habit.

 

Bangalore is the hub of most sporting activities. It has produced sports persons in all the major sports played acrossed the country The city has a rich sporting tradition in a range of sports such as tennis, hockey, cricket, badminton, aquatic sports, and horse racing. . Some of the best sports persons the city has produced are Erapalli Prasanna, Bhagwat Chandrashekar, Brijesh Patel, Gundappa Viswanath, Roger Binny, Syed Kirmani, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath, Sunil Joshi, Venkatesh Prasad, Robin Uthappa, Manish Pandey, Stuart Binny, Varun Aaron to name a few in Cricket, Mahesh Bhupahi, Rohan Boppanna & Prahlad Srinath in Tennis, Prakash Padukone, Vimal Kumar, Anup Sridhar, Abhishek Bakshi, Ashwini Ponappa & Aravind Bhat in Shuttle Badminton, Ganesh, MP Ganesh, Jude Felix, Subramani, Joaquim Carvalh, M M Somayya, Ashish Ballal, Arjun Halappa, Raghunath, Sunil SV, Sreejith & Hariprasad in Hockey, Shantha Rangaswamy & Karuna Jain in women's Cricket and Ashwini Nachappa, Reet Abraham, SD Eeshan in Athletics, Pankaj Advani in billiards, Shikha Tandon, Rehan Poncha Gagan Ullalmath & Aaron D'souza in swimming, Sharmila Nicollet in Golf. The City has got good sports facilities in all the disciplines of the game like a world class cricket stadium in Chinnaswamy stadium, an artificial poly-grass turf for hockey, a good football stadium, golf courses, badminton & tennis courts, etc. With all these wonderful facilities it's no wonder that sports has bloomed in this garden city with major tournaments, coaching and training organized all round the year. Bangaloreans of late have been lucky to get into more Adventure sports like River Rafting, Parasailing, Hiking, Kayaking, Rock climbing, which were hitherto not heard of in the city. The credit of bringing these sports to the City goes to several organizations.

The tie up with the Camosun college of Canada is yet another milestone in our journey towards Sports excellence.
